USUAL AVEEKLY S1TTING. CASES HEARD THJS MORNING. Mr A. AI. Atowlem, S.AI., presided over tlu? usual weekly sitting of the Napier Police Court this morning, when the following cases were lieard: — NO LIGHTS. Having no. lights 011 his bicycle at night, David Avery Cormack was convicted and fined £1, costs 10s. Simi- 1 iarly charged in relation to a car, | Cocil Louisson was convicted and dis- 1 charged, and Frank Noel Hamilton Beainish and Edvvard AYilson were each convicted and fined 10s, costs 10s. LICENS1NG BREADH. Three charges of supplying liquor to persons apparently under 21 years of age were preferred agninst Thomas llotel, and C'harles Alaiiiiing, harinaii. Hotel and Cbarlcs Alanning, barman. Police evidence was to tlie effect that I tlie liquor was supplied to three youths, j aged 19, 17 aiul 16 respectively. For the accnsed, Alanning, Air AI. r R. Grant stated that at the time of ! Ihe oifence the bar was full aiul tlie ! harman was very busy, ko that the I three young men managed to obtain ; the drink ivithout being questioued. j Both licenseo and barmain previouslv hore unimpeachable characters. Tn Afanning's case a fine of £1, cost= 15s, was imposed on each charge, and the same pcnalty was imposed in the case of Aluir. RPEEDING. A fine of £2, costs 10s. was imposed in the case of George AValter Roche, car salesman, charged with drivino; at a speed that niight be dangerous to the public. Charged with crossing an interseetion at too great a speed, defendant was convicted and fined £1, costs 10s.
