Statistics rclating to batting nnd bowling performances in senior criekot matclies in Hawke's Bay during ihe past season liave now i)een compiled by ihe ofBcial record keeper, llr F. F. Cano. The figures show ihe two New Zealand representatives, T. C. Lowry and R. AA'orker, at tlie top oi' the batting list for representative games. Worker had the i'reak average oi 113, largoly contrihuted to by liis fino double for "Wellington again-st Auckland 111 the Pluuket Shield lifateh, when he made 151 and 72. Lowry, who played in eight representative innings, had an average oi' 47 runs per visit to the wickets. E. Evans, the T.C.O.B. trundler, lieaded the bowling record for representative games, taking ten wickets at an average cost of 16 runs. In all senior matclies Worker ngain lod the field in battiug figures, an exeellent aggregate of 724 runs in ten innings giving the verv sound average of 91 runs. He and M. O'Brien eacli Rcorcd two eenturies during the year. J. Gifford, the consistent H.S.O.B. bowler, took 37 wickets for 434 runs and lieaded the bowling averages. He and Evans were the only ones to take. more tlian 30 wickets, but A T. Beuth did well in claiming 24 after not commencing to play till Christmas.
