SYDNEY This day. 5Ir Yorke, secretary of the Timber 5rercliants' Association, said at tlie completion of the 14th week of the strike, "there are 1547 men employed in Sydney and the suburban yards and mills working under the new award. Some of the yards are fully manned and more men are heing employed daily and if the strike continues much loirner a new union will be built up." Tbe strike allowiinccs of £2 a week is inadequatc, and many cases of acute distress are reported.
