TWO UNBEATEN TEAMS CLASH. ONGA ONGA SUPREME.
WAIPUKURAU, Saturday. The Rugby competitions were continued under splendid weather conditions. There was an cxcellent attendance, including the provincial selector, Mr Normau McKenzie. and Mr W. Anderson, secretary of tlio Tlawkc's Bay Rugby Union. In the Hunter Rhield senior compct'tion the two unbeaten teams, Onga Onga and Waipukurau Old Boys, met. Onga Onga maintained their supremaey throughout, winning by 16 to 3. For the winners Grey and Haldane scored tries, whilst Moorhead kicked two penalties and also potted a good goal. For the losers, Basil Nickalls kicked a penalty goal. Referee, Mr P. R. Smyrk. In the junior competition, Waipukurau (121 defeated Waipawa (6). For the winners Cochrane and Booth scored tries. Moss converting oue. Gibson potted a goal.; for the losers, Pliillips and Cossar crossed the line. Referee, Mr Pura Logan. In the third gracTe, Waipawa 11 dedefeated Waipukurau nil. Referee, Mr W. Milton. Te Aute (1T1 defeated Waipukurau High School (5). Pieferee Mr T. Spencer. At Takapau Te Aute seuiors put up the oricket score of 50 to Takapau's 0. Referee: Mr Thomas Geenty.
