AUCKLAND, Tliis day. Alfred Ernest Craddock, aged 60, a land agont, of Christchurch, was arrostcd by a detective on tlie Ulimaroa before tiio vessel left for Sydney this ni or n ing. He ajipoarcd at the T'olice Court to answor a eliarge of having fraudulontly receivcd £330 and fraudulently oniittcd lo account for it to Tlionias Wallacc, thereby comniitting theft. Accqsed stated that it was rnerely a matter of the accounts being in dispute. Hb was remanded to nppenr in Christchurch. Bail was allowed in a sum of £300.
