FIVE INJURED
MOTOR C YCLE* COLLIDES WITH TRAP. FOUR IN SERIOUS CONDITION. (Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, This day. As tho result of a collision at Sockburn yesterday evening, a family of four and one other man, alj pccupants of a motor cycle and side-chair, were sent to the hospital with serious injuries, as follow : — Mr James G. Potter, a labourer, aged' 34, condition satisfactory ; Mrs Anuie Potter, aged 34 ; James Potter, aged 9; Noel Potter, aged 7 ; Mr Benjaniin Henry Bright, aged 52. The condition of the last four is still serious with head woutids. The machine collided with a horse and trap. According to Mr Potter, the driver of the motor cycle, the party. was returning to the city, at a modemte speed, when he suddenly saw a gig aliead going in the same direction. He swerved, but too late, the wheel of the trap being struck between the cycle and the side ehair. His family ■ were tlirown forward 011 to the road. > '
