PREMIER STATES HIS POLICY Risks Of Peace And Of War.
(Eeoeived This Day, Noon.) RUGBY, June 30. Tbe Prime Minister, in a speech last nigbt, outlined tbe twin purposes of the new Government, namely peace for the world and work for tbe unemoloyed. _ . Regarding tbe latter be referred to the entbusiasm witb wliich Mr J. H. Thomas, as tbe Minister trusted with the problem, was attacking tbe initial stages of bis task. "Tbe otlien big section of our work is international peace. Tliis furtber I want to say : — A peacemaker bas to take risks as well as a war-maker. Wheii we bave accomplshed our work we are going to give you tbe balance of the cboice. Tliere are risks of peace as there are risks of war. I ara banking upon tbe risks of peace and if tbe nation is to take any risks at all we are going to ask it to take tbe risk of peace, rather tban tbe risk of war. Tbe nation tbat will take tbe risk of peace will get peace just as in tbe past UTe nation "fiiat took tbe risk of war bas got war."
