Tbe question of a permanent road and bridge at tbe Waitangi was referred to at tbe meeting of tbe Hawke's Bay County Council to-day, wlien Mr F. B. Logan, tbe cbairman, remarked that tbe Waitangi bridge would have to be renewed, but a great deal depended on tbo rivers probleni. Until it was finalised where tbe rivers were to go tbe council could not do mucb in replacing the bridge. Tliero was no doubt, liowever, tliat tbe bridge would bave to be renewed.
