SIXTH ANNUAL GENERAL MEET1NG.

WELLINGTON, Last night. The sixth annual meeting of New Zealand Breweries, Limited, was lield to-day, ^tr A. S. Bankait presiding. A motion tliat a dividend of 7} per cent. b© paid (making 15 per cent. for the year) was carried uuanimously. This represents an increase of 5 per cent. over the previous year. j The gross profit was £607,536, tlie Government toolc heer duty £478,687, and the net profit was £128,848. _ The proposals of tlie directors regarding a rearrangement of the capital of the company were also adopted. The retiring directors, Messrs E. R. Davis, A. S. Duncan and P. F. hlcEvedv, were re-electcd, while Messrs Watkins, Hiill, Hunt and Wheeler were appointed the auditors.
