YESTERDAY'S FIELD EVENTS. A GREAT SUCCESS. Tliere xvas an exeelleut attendance A the general public, and tbe entries constituted an casy record, tlie standaid of competition in all classes being exeeptionally high.
Some of tlie plougliing xvork xvas really a revelation of tlie art, tbe winner's xvork in the open class being xvell nigh perfect. Apart from the actual pioughing, the liorses in competition also attracted a great deal of interest, with their finelv groomed coats and "uatty" decorations. Tlie jumping events also created a great amount of interest and some fine pcrformanecs xvere recorded. The whole programme xvas earried out xvithout any hitch, the organisation reflecting the greatest eredit 011 tlie iseeretar.v 31 r D. Balharry and his nard working executive. Several of tlie unplaced dogs xvere quite close up in points, and tlie sheep xx-ero exeeptionally suitable for the competition.
