Bisliop pointed out that the ohoject of the Hawke's Bay reinit was to prevent tlie fisli in the rivers being disturbed at tlie time tliat they were rnnning, during tlio last lliree nioiitlis of tlio season. Mr Logan expressed the opinion tliat they were not- ooneerned witli tlie lake so mueli as with the rivers and moved that tlie Hawke's Bay fsociety devote its efforts to pushing its own reniit. The motion was secondcd by Mr Bisliop, who remarked that they had a good chance of getting it througli, and carricd unanimou.sly.
