LAST NIGHT'S SUCCESS. Tho Hastings Hockcv Association' s ball, which took pluco in the Hastings j A ssembly Llall last. night, was a proiiouneod success. Tlicre was an attendrmco of about 200 couples, who spent a really enjoyalilo evcning, dancing to the ninsic supplied by "Walden's Orchestra, with extras played by Miss W illiaius' Orchestra. Mr B. Fulton j made a capable M.C. The hall was j tastefully decorated with black aud ( gold streainers, aud made a very pleas- 1 ing picture. A dainty supper was pro- j vided, tliis heing in tlie cliarge of aui energetic ladie.s' coininitteo under tlie j guidance of iMesdames Flynn and 1 Scliroder.
