Serious Danger S1W0-RUSS1AW DISPUTE Grave Reports From Man= churian Frontier LOOTING AND KILLING
(Received Whis Day, Noon) SHANGHAI, Aug. 14. There are further disquieting reports of tho Manehurian situation from Jajiancse sources. It is stated that a force of Soviet cavalry crossed the river Argun, attacking and looting Dalainor villages, killing a numher of Chinese, and throwing their hodies into the river. It is also stated that 30 Soviet employees on the Chinese eastern railway were arrested by the Chinese as the rcsult of mines being flooded following the 'general strike. Observers rcport that the whole situation is fraught- with grave possibilities. Chinese troops are organising border defences. The "VYhito Russians are also active.
