WELLTXGTOX. This day. That some of the Xew Zealand flocks are badly in need of iresh hlood is the conviction of Mr T. D. Burnett, who suggested that English stud stock should he imported. Mr Burnett stated that Australia was permitting sueli importations. In reply to this, the Minister of Agriculture, the Iion. G. W. Forhes, stated that stud sheep could he introduced to the Dominion from Australia proved tliey complied with certain regulations. On the otlier hand the importation of cottle from Australia was proliibited, which ban would also apply to cattle imported to Australia from the United Kingdom.
