The match between Hastings and High Seliool was for the Sachs-JohnsOn Shield, School being the challengers, and was also the final of the Hastings section of the third grade. In the finst spell there was no score, and tlie second was well on its way before Love scored for Hastings, Lane converting. Horne followed this with an iinconverted. try, Hastings tlius iretaiuing tbe sbield and winning the Hastings competition by 8 to nil. Celtic 6, drew witfi H.S.O.B. 6.
