Mr Gilbert McKay presrding, the report and balance slieet were submitted and the connnittee was very pleased to report that the ploughing matcli, dog trials and jumping events were tlie most successful yet lield in Hawke's Bay, and was also' ])leased to report that notwithstanding adverse conditions tliere will he a satisfactoi-y credit balance. The- committee expresses the hope that a very much larger committee will be available twelve montlis hence to keep this veiw valuable organisation going, believing that from an educational po-int of view as well as from the point of view of increasing production, the scientifio use of the plough still plays an important part 111 our primary production.
