Government's sanction heing sought?'' is reported to have replied as follows : — "T don't know. It was before my period as chairman." Again must T point out to your readers that tbe board's scheme was hrought forward by Mr Jarvis since he was made chairman, and referred by him as chairman to the Afinister for approval. — T am. etc..
