DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIP IN SOUTH. MISS KAY IN GREAT FORM.
CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. In the ladies' golf championship,the best match of tlie day was betweea Mrs Dodgshun and Miss Culling. MisstCulling struck form and was two up at the turn after playing some polishpd golf. Thereafter Mrs Doagshutt took the ascendancy and ran out th$ winner at the 17th. Miss Gaisford had a Eard tussle beat Miss M. Stevens, but over thei last six lioles produced foam that left no doubt as to the issue. Miss Kay struck wonderful fornl against Miss Cracroft Wilson and won nine holes out of eleven played. Mrs Kerr. of Timaru, had a good! win over Miss Snodgrass, the latter'* weakness on the green bemg her downfa.ll. _ Miss Chrystall had trouble with heu iron shots, but otlierwise was superiof to Miss Moore and had a comfortable! win. Results: — SECOND ROUND. Miss McCormick beat Miss Cotx terill, 2 and 1. Mrs Dodgshun beat Miss Culling, 3 and 1. • Mrs Fraser beat Miss Acheson, 5 and 4. Miss Barnett beat Mrs Preston, 1) up. Miss Kay beat Miss Cracroft WiK son, 9 and 7. Miss Pnynton beat Misg- Richard-i son, 3 and 1. -■■"■■***/ . Mrs Miller w'on by default from Miss{ Upton. Miss Rathbone heat Mrs Foreman* 6 and 5.
