OUR PHANTOM HARBOUR
Such a commotion there has been, Yret there is nothing to be Been, The Tmier Harbour is just the same, As twenty years ago I carne, Yet the old Breakwater we see, From which lopg ago I did flee, Is not altered or lengthened a scrap, Still Napier .remains on the map! The citizens are yet wrangling, That Harbour Board eyer strangling, Every scheme for the city's progress, With so many i'olk in distress. First by votes the Breakwater willwih, Next the Inner Harbour will be in, And tlius it goes on aud nothing done, Wheuever will tliis race be won? Tnner Harbour or Breakwater? Why does a third party falter? I would join auy good selieme, O Lord ! But never this town's Harbour Bcmrd. "Lady Fair."
