Captain T. White, of the Hawke's Bay Aero Club, passed over Napier this morning on that way to Gisborne, on his weekly visit to the town for the instruction of pupils there learning to fly. Mr E. King, the well-known rifle sliot in Wanganui, will take his departure at an earlv date for Mel.bourne. Rifleman King's record during his many years' association with the djYanganui Defence Rifle Club tnalB interesting reading. In 1911 he woiiPthe North Island championship and was runner-up in 1926. He won the Patea championship in 1921 and 1928. In 1928 he won the New Zealand championshin by a narrow margin from Rifleman F. James, of Napier, having previously heen third in 1926. .On no fewer than flve occasions he has heen club champinn. having .been successful in the following seasons 1919-20, 1924-25, 1926-27,' 1927-28, and 1928-29.
