LAIDLAW— ROBERTS. Many i'riends gathered at St. Antlreiv's Presbytenan Oluirch, Hastings, this afternoon, for the inarriage of Miss Florence May Iloberts, claugiiter of Mr atid Mrs J. ,W. Iloberts. oi j Southampton street, to Alr Walter ; Laidlaw, son of Mr and Mrs R. Laidlaw, of Taradale. The sun sja°ne brightly as the wedding partv entered the churcli, the bride 011 the arai of her brother, Mr H. Roberts. tvho gave her awav. Vcry cliarming tlie brrcle lcoked in a pieture frock of ivory georgette, and a skirt of beautiful silk lace, whieh reaehed to the ankles at the bac-k. The bodice was tight-fitting, with long sleeves, and a eape at the back, similar to lace on skirt. A posy oi orange blossoms was tucked in at tlie wa'ist in front. The tulle veil, embroidered wilh silk was arranged 011 tbe head with a coronet of orange blossoms, the soft mesbes of the veil falling over the ITock aiid forming a semi-train. AYhite satin shoes were worn, and a handsome shower bouquet of white tulips, lilies and pink flowers backed by maidenhair j ferns was carried. ' Miss D. Laidlaw, sister of Ihe bride- j groom, attended as bridesmaid and j looked picturesqne in byaeinth bluc ciepe de ehine with a moulded hoctiee and the skirt falling in graceiul points j at the sides. A handean of flowers eneircled tlie head. Shoes to tone were worn and a beautilul bouquet oi Spring flowers intermingled with ferns was carried. Mr Jven Hunt ably carried out the ditties of best man. The Rev. D. Shaw pcriormed the impressive ceremoiiy and Mr Lance Craig presided at the organ. Subsequentiy the guests were most hospitahiy entertained by the bride s patents at the Zetland Tca Rooms. Alrs Roberts received her guests weaving a smart model frock of uavy blue marocain, with fawn vestee and trimmings of same, and a- fawn Summer straw hat. Beautiful flowers in sliades to harmonise with the bridal party decoratec. the tables in the tea rooms. A white tvedding hell was suspendeu over the bride1 s table, where a handsome bridal cake, laden with weddmg favours and topped with a silver va.se of white flowers, held pride of place. The usual toasts tvere given and ioilowed bv happy speeclies. When leaving 011 tbe honeymoon tlio bride iooked cliarming in a figured crepe de chine frock. with a long hem at the back, and brown face cloth ooat, with iace collar and cufis, and Summer straw hat to tone. After the honeymoon ^Mr and Mrs Laidlaw will reside in Waikari. The much-esteemed young eouple received a host of beautiful pivsents, among whieh tvas a charming china tea set and silver s-poons. presented to the bride from the post-office staff, among whom the bride had been a populnr member of tlie telephone excliange staft". Alrs Laidlaw, motlier of the bridegrooui, wore a smart frock of floral crepe de chine and hat to tone. Mrs Macklow, sister of the bride, wore a model frock of saxe blue rav de chine, and fawn hat, with blue trimmings. Mrs Lowry, of Napier, sistcr of the bride, wore a powder blue crepe de chine and repp coat, with hat to tone. Mrs Brown, sister of the bride, wore a model frock of blue georgette, and hat to tone. Mrs, J. Roberts, in floral crepe de chine and repp coat, and hat of Summer straw. Miss Laidlaw, sister of the hridegroom, wore a model frock of fawn floral crepe cle cbine, and hat to tone. Miss C. Laidlaw, sister of the bridegroom, wore a pretty hlue frock and l«at to match.
