DIOCESAN SYNOD
SPECIAL SESSION HELD TO-DAY. TO NOMINATE BISHOP'S SUCCESSOR. The general sessions of the Waiapu Dioeesan Synod opens to-morrow, but a sfiecial session of the Synod opened this morning, tlie chief business of this extra sitting heing the iiomination of the successor of the Rt. Rev. Bishop Sedgwick as Bishop of the Diocese of Waiapu. Considerable interest in Angliean circles centres around the appointment of the Bishop' s successor and in consequence to-day' s sjtting was invested with particillar significance.
