YESTERDAY' S CONCLUDING EVENTS,

D CJNEDIN, Last night. The Spring meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club was opened to-day in fme weather and before a very large attendance of the public. The track was in good, firm order, and the racing generally full of interest. with close finishes. The tote handled £:6,552, compared with £14,207 last year. Concluding results : — Electric Handicap, 6 furlongs. — 1 Silver Paper (D. Cotton) 1, 2 Red Heckle 2, 4 Royal Saxon 3. Also ran : 8 Black Duke, 5 Rin Tin Tin, 9 Gold Tinge, 7 Speed Light, 3 Waving Corn, 1 Aspiring (bracketed with the winner), 6 C'oomassie. Silver Paper was always near the front and won by a length from Rcd Heckle, who beat Royal Saxon hy a length, with Waving Corn a head away. Time, lmin. 14 1-5 secs. Mosgiel Handicap, IJ miles. — 1 Chide (B. Morris) 1, 8 Circulation 2, 2 Pmk Note 31 Also ran : 6 Black Mint, 3 Money Mine, 5 Evening. Circulation opened a gap of several lengths on the field, but Chide closed on her approaeh ing the straight and won hy a clear length, with Pink Note half a length away, a head in front of Evening. Time, 2min. 8 l-5secs. McLean Stakes, 4 furlongs. — 4 Satisfy (C. Emerson) 1, 2 Spoon 2, 3 Tray Bond 3. Also ran: 1 Al Jolson, 16 Auster, 10 Banderilla, 11 Countermarch, 14 Compensation, S Pharaoh, 7 Red Royal, 12 Charmaine, 15 Dressy, 9 Parysia, 13 Rosv Morn, 2 The Geisha (bracketed with Spoon), 5 Tea Party, 0 Tracsono, 17 Water Power. Sudden Storm and LatinQuarter made the running and led into the straight from Royal Game and Tahoo. In the run home Taboo got up on the inside to win by a nose, with Sudden Storm _a head away and Wingatui next. Time) lmin. 28 3-5secs. Taioma Handicap, 6 furlongs. — 4 E1 Boa (C. Eastwood) 1, 1 Inevitable 2, 6 Assemble 3. _ Also ran : 1 Full Flight (bracketed with Inevitable), 3 Moimt Boa, 7 Lady Blue, 8 Louise, 12 Dr.v Area, 2 Desert Song, 10 Cmssjbow, 5 Dumblane, 13 Fallow, 11 Captivate, 15 Maretta, 9 Wig Wag. Wig Wag led into the straight from Assemble, Inevitable and El Boa. In a good finish E1 Boa won by a head, with Assemble a head away. Maretta was a length away fourth. Time, lmin. losecs.
