NEW DUNEDIN STATION

OPEXING NEXT MONIH. The new trauslnitting plant and studios of station 4YA, Dunedin, will be oponed 011 ednesday, October lb. It is hoped that the Postmaster-Gene-ra,, the lion. J. B. Donald, will be able to attend in person and perform the ceremony. If not, he will deliver a speech by relay from Wellington. 'Ihe whole station, including very large and well-furnished studios, is located on the top fioor of the new Evening Star bnilding, which also carries the aerial towers. The transmitter is of the very latest type. To judge from published descriptious the studio accommoclation is ou a more liberal scale than any of the other three stations, Welington possibly excepted.
