Dealing with the comments in for- . eign newspapers regarding the ohjects of the NorWegian Antarctic expedition, local papcrs assert tliat secrecy dces not exist. There is no competition, as the need for it does not exist. The whalei-, Norgedia, has been conducting scientific explorations fdr two years, tlie results of which will he published shortly. • The work continues, including the study of whales. There is no iiitention of searching for new land, but if unchared and uiiclaimed land is fonnd, the Nnrwegian flag will naturally be hoisted.
