A war-time wedding in dialogue is oue of the features ot the Paramount Sound picture, "Tlie bhopworn Angel," starring Gsr\ Cooper and Nancy Carroll, winch will be screened toi the last timo to-night. Ihe solemu words of the minister, the reply of the groom, Gaj-y Cooper, and the clioked sob of the bride, Nancy Carroll, as she faints, ahruptJy ending Ihe ceremony, are lieard by the audience. . Durmg the spectacular stage revue in the picture, Roscoe Ivariis, playmg tlie part of the stage manager, is tieard in some funny aml eaustic reinarlcs to the bailet girls. He provides niany Jaughs. Outstanding in "The Siiopworn Angel" is Nuucy Carroll singing the popular love theme, "A Precious Little 'Tliing Called Love." Tlie story, from the pcn of Dana Burnet, concerns the meeting of a little Broadway butterfly ^ of the period, whose iife is closely 'infertwined with tliat of a wealthy playboy. She nieets a boy. Their love is mutual, but the girl flnds that ridding herself of her post is a difficult assignment. The supporting all-talking, all-singing "featurettes" are all that could be desired, the Browu Brothers, the saxophone kings and their fanious orchestra, coming in far a big liancl of applause. Eddy Peabody, wrth his bauio in "C'ollege Chums," is an item of niusical r.ote. "Meet the Missus" is a scream of a comedy, while "Two Little Chinese_ Maids," featuring Anna Chang, a niu&ical scena, and an after-dinner speech, "Y7ital _ Subjects," - liept last night's big audience in a most delightful niood. As to-night will see tlie final presentation another capacity house is guaranteed.
