All of the candidates, with the exception of Mr Nicholas, who is a visitor from Hawera, are Hastings students, and their success reflects the greatest credit on their instructor, Captain White. All the flights were done in the club's Moth 'plane. After the examinations, Captain White took Wing-Commander Dalton for a flight over the district in the Spartan 'plane, accompanied by the Spartan 'plane, accompanied by the Moth, piloted by Mr J. Stead. The successful pilots were presented with their tickets at a most successful hall held in the Hastings Assembly Hall last night.
