EXCHANGE HOTEL, HAVELOCK NORTH. rv F1RE QUICKLY EXTINGUISHED. At eleven o'clock on Saturday evening Havelock was roused hy the sharp- alarm of the fire bell. The hrigade was out- in quick time and was able to quench a blaze in the kitchen of the Exchange Hotel hefore very serious damage could be made. Much credit is due to Mr D. Hoy, who sounded the alarm early, aud enahled the hrigade to make another good save- Tlie damage was estimated at £15.
