The Meteorological Department's forecast at noon to-day, for thei following 24 hours, was as follows: "The indications are for vqriahle and rnoderate breezes, northerly rnoderate prevailing. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy AveaIher, Avith mild and hazy conditions. Barometer, unsteady, falling slowly later; seas and tides, rnoderate."
