SHANGHA1, Nov. 1, Delayed despntches report tlie deaths of 500 Ohineso miners aiul 13 Japanese overseers in the Anshan lnines, Manchuria, when an enoinious explosion, which was heard ior miles away, cccurred. The cause of the explosion is uncertain in view of the i'act tliat iliey are iron niines, but C'hinese reports state tliat spontaneous comliustion and tlie excessive use of dynamite was the cause. The owners of the mine, a Japanese firm, immediately organised rescue parties. but succeeded in reseuing oulv four Chinese and Japanese, who were seriO'Usly injured.
