AUCKLAND, This day. The strike of slaughtermen at the City Abattoir and HeUeby's, Ltd., is definitely ended. After a lengthy conference_ this morning tlie award remains in accordance with the Ai'bitration Court fxndings, but alternative tbereto a flat rate of tenpence per carcase is to be paid for pigs np to 200 pounds and over that weight at Is 3d per carcase, provided the emploype, executes the whole of the -\vork as provided by the award. It was also de--cided that tlie price for long-sbanked sheep be 43s 9d per 100. and for shortsbanked sheen and lambs, 38s 9d per 100.
