WELLINGTON, This day. A fairly lengthy disctission centred 011 the proposal to include in the \Y ashing-Up Bill a new clause authorising the niaking of regulations respecting the use of Arapuni Lake and 'tlie lands of the Crown adjoining the lake. It was pointed out tlmt time liad not been given to consult the local liodies on the subject aird tlie' iUinister eventually • withdrew the clause. Tlie three bills were then reported to the House with an amendment, read ihe third time and passed- Replyiug t.j tlie Lead^r of tlie Opposition, the Hon. G. M'. Forbe.s stated that it was anticipated that the business of the session woukl be completed by YYednes(lav night or oarly on Tlnirsday. The House rose at 1.10 p.m. until 2.30 on Mondpy afternoon.
