At a meeting of the Napier Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club last nighfc it was decided to open the season ou November 6, with a dance- on November 7. - , Ifc was also decided to apply to the sub-centre for the appearance of the Canadian touring team in Napier. The following oflicials were elected for the ensuing vear : — Handicapper,' Mr N. A. McKenzie ; starter, Mr A. D. Lynch ; assistant starter, Mr II. Batchelor ; referee, Mr H. Whitley ; marksmen, Messrs A. E. Young, H. •.Batchelor, L M. Graham and W, R.| Rolls; track judges? Messrs C. M- ! Stagpoole, B. Tweedie, C. Price and j H Minett ; field judges. Messrs D. Corbett, O. Minett and H. Philhps; niegaphonist and lap steward, Mr C. i S. Lonergan ; call steward, Mr C. Minett; result steward IMr H. Minett. j After a general discussion .on ath- . letie matters, a lieartv vote of thanks to Mr T. Parker for donating a valnahle cup torminated the meeting.
