TOWN BOARD IN COUNOIL. MONTHLY MEETING HELD. Tbe monthly meeting of tbe Taradale Town Board was beld last nigbt, Mr R. D. Kelly presiding over Messrs F. O. Anderson. W. H. C. Howard, J. Williamson, C. H. Williams, G. Brown and G. Gilmour. The town elerk reported that grading had been done in Meanee, Avondale. Guppv and Lees roads, and also on some of tbe side roads. Meu were now engaged on the Taipo creek. Footpatli construction work had been completed in Churcli, Main and Elbourne roads. The patb at the memorial would be finisbed in the course of a few days. Tlie eontractors bad commenced on tbe liousing under the new loan and giood progress bad been made with tbe dwelling in Redcliffe road. The Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board wrote regarding representation of members, enclosing a letter from the Public Works Department and requesting comment thereon. The Public Works Department stated that tbe present allocation of members was not-stric-tly in accord. with the Act and tbat it liad now been requested tbat the representation should he altered as follows: — Hawke's Bay County five members, Napier borough, three members, Hastings Borough two nicmbens. Taradale Town District, oue member. It was decided to reply to the Power Board stating that - the Taradale Board considered that the Act should be complied with and tbe representation altered accordingly.
