A SUDDEN DEATH
WATERSIDER CHOKES AT EVENING MEAL. AND EXPIRES WITHIN SECONDS. Chokxng suddenly xx-bile ealing his evening meal on Saturday evening, Mr James Innes, a xvatersido xvorker, died almost inxmediately at the residence of Mr and Mrs T. E. Max-tin, in Sbakespeare road, xx-bere be xvas boarding. Dr Waterworth xvas sunxmoned, but the deceased xvas dead. An xnquest into tbe cxrcumstances surrounding lxis death xx-as held in tlxe Napier Morgue yesterday, "before the District Coroner, Mr A. M. Moxvlem. Evidence of identification xvas given by Thomas Edxvard Max-tin, xx-lxo stated tbat tbe deceased. x\-bo was unmari'ied, lxad been in tbe Dominion about 26 years. He was a natix-e of Ireland. Evidence as to extracting a piece oi {jorjc bone from tlxe thi-oat of the deceased was gix'en by Anne Martin. Dr. Waterxx-ortb gave evidence tbat tbe deceased, xx-ho xx-as dead whexx be arrived, apparently met bis death by cboking. A verdict tbat deceased met bis death th rough cboking xx-ben at bis evening meal was retux-ned by the Coroner.
