Moxvlem, S.M., presided over tbe usual xveekly sitting of tbe Napier Police Court this morning, wben tbe folloxving cases were beard : — For being found drunk oxx tbe Marine Parade Willianp H. Crainger (Mr W. Nasli) xvas convicted and discharged. Charged witb casting offensive matter on tbo foot])ath accused was convicted and fined £2, in default tsex-en rlays' imprisoninent. For driving at night witbout a rear ligbt Victor A. Jorgenson was convicted and fined 10s, costs 10s. John Boyd, charged xvitb being found on the premises of tbe Clarendon Hotel after hours, was convicted and fined £1, costs 10s. On eacb of" txx-o cbai-ges of b'veaches of a pi-olxibition. order, Robert Titts SIcLean xvas convicted and fined £2, costs 10s. Pleading guilty tbrough Mr W. Nasb to striking a person xvitb bis clencbed fisb, William Cleary was convicted and fined £1, costs £1 9s.
