HAWERA, Last nigbt. The Egmont Racing Club's Summer meeting was concluded in cloudy weather before a decreased attendance to-day. The track was soft as a result of heavy rain overnight and morning. The tote liandled £12,987. a decrease of £9550 on the second day of the January meeting. The total for both days was £29,799 and showed a decrease of £15,093 10s. Concluding results : — Meremere Hack Handicap, 6 furlongs. — 2 Roman Pearl (R. AIcTavish) 1 3 Green Ac-re 2, 1 Just So 3. Also van : 6 St. Alelba, 4 Peg Black, 0 Alarica, 7 Joyspear. Won by half a length, a head between second and third. Time, 1.19. Tonks Stakes, 1 mile and 110 yards. — 3 Silvermine (K. Voitre) 1, 5 Yoma 2. 6 Hipo 3. Also rau: 1 Paitonui, 2 Meny Mint. 4 Doloinite, 7 Opa. Silvennine took charge from the jump out and led Opa and Yoma into the straight. Yoma made a strong challenge, but could not overliaul Silvermine, whicli won by a sliort neck, witli Hipo six length s back third. Dolomite was fourfch. Time, 1.53. Trial Hack Handicap, 5 furlongs. — 1 Teataster (J. HaiTy) 1, 3 Ambridge 2. 8 Tentcall 3.
