SYDNEY, Dec. 19. A report from Ihe Rothbury colliery to-d'Jv states that the mine- is again picketed, but only by a small group of local strikers. The IMinister of Mines announces that work at Rothbury is proceeding uninterruptedly aud satisfactorily. Tlie police guarrl at the Rothbury railway has been strengthened. , It was reported in Parliament todav that a miner was injured in the Rothbury colliery yesterday. Tbe Minister of Mjnes declared that he had no knowledge thereof. Tlie business people of tlie Cessnock coalfields liejd a 'meeting to-day. It is understood they are advising tlie-Pre-mier to discoutinpe operations at Rothbury owing to tlie Jikelibood of further serious clashes, for which the Premier will have to take fu)l rsponsibility, 1 ■ Tlie proposal launched at the Hyde Park demohstration on Tuesday night for a one-day strikc to tpke place today as a protest against Jhe Rothlmry shootings was a fiasco; no workers partieipating fronl auj7 industry in the metropolitan area.
