The wedding was solemnised by Archdeaeon Broeklehurst, Ihe sevvice being choral. I The_ beautiful bride enteral thc cliurch 011 the arm of lier grandlather, 3Ir X. Kettle. She wore an jsxqui^ite i'rock of deep ivory sntin fashioned with long slceves. The tight-fitting hodice had a tiny voke of tulle, while the graceful full skirt had a very deep liem of tulle, and was made long at the back. Her lovely ivory tulle veil was held in position by silver tissue ribbon prettilv anranged, and finisheci at* Ihe sides with orange hlossom, aud she carried a glorious slieaf oi Madonna lilies. 'Ivor.v satin sli])pers and ivorv stoekings completed a eharming pictnre. For her hridesniaids sho chose 31iss Una Loudoun, 31iss Joan Campbell and Aliss Edie Barry. Their very pretty f rocks were of aprieot organdie over satin. Tlie boat-shaped neeks ot the bodices wero fimslied with a Iwi 1 1 ot j organdie, while the skirts were very £u 11 | and long at tlie back. Dolightful little j organdie fiowers with trellised | centres, arranged in groups of three, oruamented eaeh skirt. Large bats of the same toned organdie were most effective and they also wore stoekings of the same shade, with satin shoes of a deeper colour. I They carried exquisite bouquets of j apric-ot fiowers. t ^ Two sweet and dainty little maidens, I Shirley Kettle (cousin of the bride) j and Janet -Smith (niece of the hridej groom) were dvessed to correspond with the bridesmaids. Their skirts were made very lon'g and tliey wore pretty little gold shoes, and carried Early Victorian posies. The duties of best man were carried out by 51 r L. Donovan, and tliose of groomsmeh by Mr Roydeu 31cDowell and 3Jr Jack Tattersail. 31essrs J. Bernau and B. Kettle (aunt of the bride), most beautiful pictnre i'roek oi" green taffetas and tulle, with cream Iiat , 3frs Platten (aunt of the bride) smart black and searlet i'rock; black liat iinished with searlet ornament, and beautiful bouquet of crimson and cherry coloured fiowers. 3Irs C. E. X. Smith (sister of the bridegroom) graceful ii'ock oi' navy emhossed georgette witli diamante buckle and bouquet oi* sweet peas and caraations. Mrs J. E- 3Iaelaren (sister of the bridegroom) wore an exquisite frock of black taifetas and gold lace; becoming liat and lovely i'ur. Mrs B. T. Dinwiddie (sister of the bridegroom) graceful frock of primrose georgette, having a taffetas bow at one side and pretty Mionlder fiower. She wore a black Iiat Iinished with a yellow rose. At tlie conclusion of the ceremony. Ihe guests assemhled at "Xau-3Iai," Cobden road, tlie home of 31rs 57on Kettle. where a delightful reception was held. The rooms were most artisticallv arranged with lovely pink and aprieot fiowers, and a clelieious supper was tastefullv servecl, tlie usual toasts heing honoured. A beautiful floral wedding hell won tlie admiration nf everyone. Daricing to popular musie hy the panatrope was greatlv •enjoyerl. Later, the happy couple left upon their wedding tonr of ihe Xorth Tslatid, carrying with them ihe good wishes of all present. The bride wore a smart- three-piece suit of figurnd erppe de chine, and [small beige felt hat. '
