ANOTHER RECORD DAY
47 CAMPING PARTIES ON BEATSON'S PARK. VISITORS HOLD A SPORTS MEETENG. There are at present in occupation of the Hastings Borough Council's camping site at Beatson's_ Park no less than 47 parties of visiting motorists from all parts of the Dominion, inclnding four parties of tourists travelling in babv cars. Several of the visitors have been in occupation for a number- of days and one . and all _ are thoroughly pleased with the conditions pertaining in the camp. That motorists are all one happy family was illustrated at the Park on New Year's Day, when the visitors held a sports meeting, the programme including a race for haby_ cars, which caused quite a lot of excitement. More visiting motorists ave_ passing through Hastincrs daily and it is anticipated that the present number in occupation will be exceeded dnring_ the week-end. The present number is a record for the Beatson's Park ground, the previous hest total being in the thirties.
