THREE OCCUPANTS' NARROW ESCAPE. HUSBAND RESCUES WIFE AND SON.
AUCKLAND, This day. Pinned in a motor . car when it swerved from a road near Penrose on Saturday evening and partinlly capsized in five feet of water, Mr C. M. Cox, his wife and son, liad narrow escapes from heing drowned. Mr Cox scrambled clear and dragged out his wife, who was semi-conscious from striking her liead, and cxtricated witli difficulty his son, who was pinned bencath the seat. Artilicial respiration had to be used to restore tlie son to consciousness.
