: NOT OF THE BRIGHTEST. BUT HANY PICXICKERS ON THE ROAD. I The week-end weather in Hastings wus not of the very best but cloudy skies yesterday did not deter numbers oi picknickers from taking the road, bound for their favourite haunts. All the beaclies were c-rowded as usua] yestcrdav and favourite canijiing spots on the rivers were ulso well populated. During the niorning a ehilly wind detraeted somewhat from Ihe deliphts oi the day, but later. in tbe afternoon, tbe sun eame out and picknickers were better able to appreciate tliese conditions after tlio.se rulin^ pfeviouslv.
