NAPIER JUNIOR COMPETITION CLOSED. FUTURE REP. GAMES. The management committee of the Hawke's Bay Cricket Association held its fortnightly meeting last evening. when there were present Messrs R. M • Chadwick (chairnian), C. Louisson, H. Stephenson, C. Canmng, J. Hawke, H. V. Pliillips, C. Elmes and R. Spriggs Leave of absence was granted Mr G. Frater. A decision was reached to close the Napier section of the second grade competition, T.C.O.B. A being declared the winners. They will meet the winners of the Esk or the Hastings sections and then the final of the competition will be played. It was left to the fixture committee to arrange matches for the other second grade teams. A further decision reached was to officially close the third-grade competition on Saturday, and the arrangini; of further games was left in the hands of the fixtures committee. REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES. The Central Hawke's Bay Association asked that their match against Hawke's Bay be played at Napier on April 12 instead of Waipukurau as snggested. — It was decided to accede to the request. The Poverty Bay Association advised that every effort would be made to send seiiior and junior representative teams to Napier at Easter. HIGH SCHOOLS MATCH. Napier Boys' High School wrote asking for a ruling in regard to their third grade A team's first round fixture against H.S.O.B., which was played on the day following the school break-up. The school stated that as the school had 'oroken up its proper eleven was not fielded. As the fixture was one arranged by the Fixtures Committee it was decided to reply that the result must stand. ' ^ GENERAL BUSINESS. Napier Technical School was granted permission to play Te Aute College on Nelson Park to-day. The Napier Boys' High School was granted permission for their first eleven to travel to Gisborne and play their annual match with Gisborne High School on Friday and Saturday, March 21 and 22. ' Fines_ were imposed on the Scinde and United Clubs for failing to forward results of matches. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. A, No. 5; Scinde v Taradale, No. 6; .T.C.O.B. B v. H.S.O.B. B No. 8; T.C.O.B. A v. Winners of the Esk Sub-Association, No. 3 (if arrangements can be made). THIRD GRADE. High School A v. High School B, No. 1 High Schgol; Technical Schoool A v. H.S.O.B., No. 9 Nelson Park ; High School C v. Technical School B, No. 2 High School.
