ON THE HILLTOP

HAWKE'S BAY RADIO SOCIETY'S MEETING. GATHERING AT TE MATA PEAK. The Hawke's Bay Radio Society's visit to the peak of the Havelock Hills last night was a pronounced success, there being an attendance of over- 100 members, who were taken to the peak in no less than 27 motor cars. In all there were three receivers in operation, but unfortunately, atmospherical conditions were not _ of the best, static coming through in fairly solid blasts. This interfered to a marked extent with the experiments it was intended to carry out, but the experience proved beyond all doubt that reception at such an altitude. under good conditions. would be ideal, and much in advance of that on the flat.
