Love, its ups and downs, as Richard Arlen and the lovable Mary Brian can portray it, is. the theme of the Majestic Theatre' s attraction for Wednesday, the Paramount pictqre, "The Man I Love," It is a super-rpmantic drama, directed hy W illiam A, Wellman, the man "who made "Wings," "Legion of the Condemned," "Ladies of the Mob" and "Beggars of Life." Tlie picture tells the ■story of an ambitious voung man who decides to seek fame in New York. The hometown girl to whoin he is engaged follows him to the big city only to find that, through the interest of a wealthy society woman he has made an instantaneous sqccess and, drunk with popularity, has entered into a mad whirl of jiving. The active jeajousy of a rival and the hometown_ girl's decision to leave him bring him to his senses. It is a pieture' ftlled with emotion, hubbling with humour and packed with thi-ills. An excellent selection of talkie short suhjects wiU support the feature film. The most popular of all cartoops, "Mickev the Mouse," wiU he seen and heard in "The Ploughboy."
