m CONGREGATIONALISTS REA'DY FOR CONFERENCE. SUPPORT AGAINST LIQUOR TRAFFIC.
AUCKLAND, This day. The New Zealand Congregational Unjon resolved that the union was prepared to consider the question of organic church union whenever the fcub--iect was re-opened by sister denominations with a view to the formation of a United Church of New Zealand similar to that in Canada. l In the meantime the union should ! "onsolidate and develop the Congregational Church of New Zealand. A deputation was received from the New Zealand Alliance. Support of the Congregational Church against liquor traffic was i olecjged by the chairman of the ase^mbly, the Rev. F. De Liste, of f Napier.
