PARIS, March 12. The south of France has been stirred by the arrest at Marseilles of Dr. LagetJ Chevalier of the Legion of Honour, on a charge of - poisoning two wives, beautiful sisters named Alexcindre * The first, Sarah, died in 1922 after a short, painfnl illness. Then the second, Suzanne, died in April, 1929, under similar circumstances. The discovery that Laget was Jiving the gayest life and huying a considerable amount of -poison led to the exliumation of the sisters. ■ As the doctor was being taken to prison an angry mob threatened to lynch him. He is also accused of attempting to poison his own sister and is suspected of trying to do the same to an annt.
