FRITCHLEY—PARTRIDGE.
A quiet, but pretty night wedding Was celebrated at Sb. Matthew's Church Tuesday night, when Rev. C. Mortinier-Jones performed an impressive service. The bride was Miss Anne. Partridge. 'daughter of Mr and Mrs J-. Partridge, of "VVolverhampton, England, and the hridegroom, Mr Jobn Fritchley, of Hastings. The bride was given away by Mr J. fW. Charles, and was daintily frocked 5n fawn crepe de chine. The hodice was trimmed with rows of tinv tucks arranged diagonally, and the sleeves were long. The skirt was pleated. A smart model hat of silk trimmed with * f elt, and a blue ornainent was also worn. A beautiful spray of orange blossoms was worn on the shoulder and a houquet of creajn roses, backed with sprays of maiden hair ferns, was carried. Mrs J. W. Charles attended as matron of honour and was smartly frocked in navv blue Celanese, with the bodice trimmed w itli tiny tucks, with a tie collar. The bodice was vandyked to |he skirt, which. was richly embroid-
ered in gold and rubv in-a running de sign of squares and dots. A ruby red felt hat was worn, with brim turned off the face, and a bouquet of rubyred roses and sprays of maidenhair fferns was carried. Mr 'Roy Hawkins ably carried out £jie duties of best man. Subsequently the wedding supper was held at the home of Mr and Mrs Charles in Methuen street, Hastings. The drawing room was festively deoorated with pale pink and m'auve asters. Many beautiful presents were >received by the happy couple. The hridegroom 's present tu the hride was a handsome set of fox furs, and his present to the matron of honour was a charming toilet set of white xylonite. The honeymoon couple left by car, the bride travelling in a blue and brown figured crepe de chine and hat to match and brown fox furs. Among the guests were : — Mr and Mrs G. Love, Mr and Mrs Hawkins, Mr and Mrs Ronse, Mr and Mrs Shearer, Mr and Mrs Yic. Rouse, Mr and Mrs H. Barden, Mr and Mrs I. Morley. the Misses Cain and Love and Mr Gordon Phillips and others.
