DUNEDIN RETURNING Marines And Police Finish Work 1 ALL QUIETV
APIA, March 13. For several days past marines and police have been active. retprning by motor and launch more /than 1000 Samoans to the coastal villages • of Upolo and Savaii. ' The 5work has heen completed and the Dunedin will leave alter nine today for Auckland. It is reported that 25 marines will be left at Apia and will be stationed near Vaimoso, which is now practically deserted, except for the women and children. On Tuesday Chief Tuimalealiifauo was charged with partieipating in activities enconraging the contmuance and expressing approval of a seditious organisation and was convicted and fined £3. Lance-Corporal District Officer Ricketts has been charged with m'anslaughter relative to the death of the Samoan Mola, who was wounded in the affray with the police on Januarv 22_ and died on January 27. The case will he henrd on Wednesdav next. Tlie Motli plane sent for reconnoitring was damaged while being placed on the Dunedin. One mechanic was injured when he fell hackwards his head striking the iron stanchion ladder.
