AUSTRALIAN CITRUS FRUITS

The Australian Inter-State Citrus Conference, sitting at Mildura recently, dealt with the marketing of fruit in New Zealand. It was stated that the North Island of New Zealand was the natural market for the New South Wales growers, whilst South Australian fruit went to the South Island. It was desired to regulate the fruit, so that unnecessary competition would be avoided. It was decided that the Federal Citrus Council be requested to endeavour to control the export of fruit to New Zealand thrugh the various State executives.
